The breadmaker has landed

We're all back together again in Galle, and glad to be here with our new breadmaker. It is transforming our lives, as we really don't get on with the local cuisine. We've done bread, rolls and naan, and will try hot cross buns tomorrow. It's the only thing that's providing comfort to Joe and Sarah, as Mike has already disappeared to Kalutara District and Colombo for 3 days.

On Sunday we visited the new house of one of our closest friends here, Ahamed. He loves Joe and had been shopping all week to provide him with a variety of biscuits, which were scoffed at an alarming speed. Mike and I were left with a HUGE Sri Lankan banquet, ALL to ourselves!

We had a great time catching up with family and friends in the UK, but we are glad to be back in our 'normal' life here. Talk of moving to Colombo seems to have come to an end and we're looking forward to the next season in Galle, before Joe-Joe Junior arrives August 20th ish. The great debate continues as to whether to come back to the UK for that occasion.

Adam's arrived!

Our even newer relative, our nephew Adam Frantisek Elias arrived at 23:50, on 20th February. He weighed in at 3.78kg/ 8lb 4oz, 52cm long. Emma (Sarah's sister) managed an incredible 2.5hour labour.

Of course, he's completely gorgeous!
